About

The Syracuse Public Art Commission (SPAC) is an 11-member, all-volunteer commission that is appointed by the mayor and Common Council. SPAC meets monthly to review and approve all artwork to be installed on public property and for murals proposed for private property within public view.

SPAC develops, updates, and implements the city's Public Art Master Plan. The master plan outlines the city’s vision for a vibrant, comprehensive, and inclusive public art program.  SPAC advises the City on what pieces of art to add into the public art collections.
